About Me

Erik Weedeman: Illustrator from Philadelphia, PA.I mainly paint what I see on a daily basis. I love architecture, portraits and the hustle and bustle of the city. I like to paint views of the city or where ever I am in a different perspective. From an angle or view that is typically not seen, but at the same time you know where you are. I like artwork that is detailed. There is no better place than a city to find detail. The grim, the architectural details, graffiti, people, cars, etc. That is what I am trying to capture in most of my work, but in a stylized way that showcases all of the attributes and stereotypes of a place that is off the beaten path at times. Erik Weedeman is an illustrator from Philadelphia, PA. He studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and graduated in 2011, receiving a BFA in illustration. He works mainly on illustration board and some on stretched canvas. His medium of choice is acrylic paint, but has also worked with spray paint, oil paint and ink. Some work is a combination of all mediums.
